1Who we are
The Core Standard is a professional assessment for executive assistants and private PAs, operated by eavolve Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15678513, with its registered office at 62-66 Deansgate, Manchester, England, M3 2EN. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean The Core Standard, and "you" means the person buying and sitting the assessment. You can reach us at any time at hello@thecorestandard.co.uk.
2Who can buy
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract to buy and sit the assessment. By purchasing, you confirm that you are.
3What you are buying
You are buying one place to sit the Core Standard Certified assessment, candidate version: a realistic, scored simulation of a working day in an executive office, delivered online. Your purchase includes one sitting of the assessment, a graded feedback report, and a certificate at the level you reach. It is a single-use, personal purchase and is not a subscription.
4Price and payment
The soft-launch price is £100, including VAT (£83.33 excluding VAT, plus £16.67 VAT at 20%), offered in place of the standard price of £225 and available only during the launch window stated on our site. Payment is taken securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. Your purchase is confirmed once Stripe confirms your payment. A VAT invoice is provided for every purchase.
5Access and time to complete
- We email a unique access code to the address used at checkout, normally within 24 hours of payment.
- From the day you receive your code, you have two weeks (14 days) to take the assessment.
- The assessment is completed in a single, uninterrupted sitting. Most people take between one hour and one and a half hours. There is a time limit once you begin, after which the assessment closes and submits automatically.
- Your code is personal to you, single-use, and may not be shared, resold or transferred to anyone else.
6Adjustments
We want the assessment to be fair to everyone. If you need a reasonable adjustment to sit it, for any disability or as a neurodivergent candidate, tell us before you begin at hello@thecorestandard.co.uk and we will do our best to accommodate you.
7Soft-launch and beta status
The Core Standard is in its soft-launch period. During this time the assessment and its scoring are being refined, and your certificate is issued as provisional. We assess every sitting carefully and in good faith. We may adjust the assessment content, scoring bands or wording as the standard develops, and where a change would affect your result we will tell you.
8Your results and certificate
Your result reflects the judgement you demonstrated in the assessment on the day. It is a snapshot of your approach, not a measure of your worth, your wider experience, or a prediction of your future performance. A certificate at any level is a statement of how you performed in this assessment and is not a guarantee of employment, a job offer, or any particular outcome. Results are moderated and issued at our reasonable discretion.
9Fair use and conduct
The assessment only means something if it is your own work. When you sit it, you agree that:
- you will complete it yourself, without help from any other person;
- you will not impersonate anyone or let anyone sit it in your place;
- you will not copy, record, screenshot, share or publish the assessment content, scenarios or questions.
If we reasonably believe the assessment has not been sat honestly, or that its content has been shared, we may withhold or withdraw your result and certificate. We will tell you why and give you a fair chance to respond before we do. Where a result is withdrawn for a conduct breach, no refund is due.
10Intellectual property
All content in the assessment, including the scenarios, questions, scoring framework, reports and branding, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. Your purchase gives you the right to sit the assessment and to use your own report and certificate for your own professional purposes. It does not give you any right to reproduce or reuse our content for any other purpose.
11Cancellations and refunds
This is a digital service that begins as soon as we issue your access code. When you buy, you expressly ask us to begin providing it within the 14-day cancellation period, and you acknowledge that once your code has been issued you lose the right to cancel and receive a refund. You confirm this by ticking the box at checkout.
Before your code has been issued, you may cancel for any reason by emailing hello@thecorestandard.co.uk, and we will refund you in full. If something goes wrong on our side, for example a technical fault that stops you completing the assessment, contact us and we will put it right, which may include re-issuing your access or offering a refund. None of this affects your legal rights as a consumer.
12Your data
To provide the assessment we collect your name, email address and the responses you give. We use these to deliver your assessment, mark it, issue your report and certificate, and contact you about your purchase. We may use anonymised responses to improve and calibrate the assessment. We will not sell your personal data. If you choose to opt in to our talent pool, that is separate and optional, and you can withdraw it at any time. Full details of how we handle your data, the legal bases we rely on, how long we keep it and your rights are set out in our Privacy Notice. For any question about your data, or to ask us to delete it, write to hello@thecorestandard.co.uk.
13Our responsibility to you
The Core Standard is in active development during the soft-launch period, and we welcome your feedback. This does not affect your statutory rights: we provide the assessment with reasonable care and skill, and your legal rights as a consumer are unaffected. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in connection with your purchase is limited to the amount you paid, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
14Complaints
If something is not right, we want to know. Email hello@thecorestandard.co.uk and we will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within five working days.
15Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on this page at the time you buy. We will show the date these terms were last updated at the top of this page.
16Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute may be brought before the courts of England and Wales, and if you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
