1Who is responsible for your data
The Core Standard is operated by eavolve Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15678513, with its registered office at 62-66 Deansgate, Manchester, England, M3 2EN. eavolve Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@thecorestandard.co.uk.
2The data we collect
- When you join the waitlist: your email address.
- When you buy the assessment: your name and email address, and confirmation of your payment from Stripe. Your card details are handled directly by Stripe and are never seen or stored by us.
- When you sit the assessment: the responses and answers you give during it, and basic information about your session such as timings.
- If you contact us: the content of your message and your contact details.
- If you opt in to our talent pool: the additional details you choose to share for that purpose.
3Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To provide the assessment you bought, mark it, issue your report and certificate, and deal with your purchase and any support. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- To improve and calibrate the assessment using anonymised responses, so the scoring stays fair and accurate. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in developing a reliable assessment. We use anonymised data for this wherever we can.
- To send you launch news and updates if you joined the waitlist, until you unsubscribe. Legal basis: consent.
- To include you in our talent pool if you opt in. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations, such as keeping records of transactions. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
4Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run The Core Standard, and only so far as they need it to do that. These include Stripe for payment processing, our form and email providers for sign-ups and messages to you, and our website hosting provider. Each acts on our instructions under a contract that requires them to keep your data secure. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
5Sending data outside the UK
Some of our providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses, so your data stays protected to the same standard.
6How long we keep it
- Assessment responses and results: kept for up to 24 months after your assessment, so we can support your certificate and calibrate the standard, after which we delete them or keep them only in anonymised form.
- Payment and transaction records: kept for six years to meet tax and accounting requirements.
- Waitlist email: kept until you unsubscribe or we close the waitlist.
- Talent pool details: kept until you withdraw or we no longer run the talent pool.
7Cookies and the website
Our site uses only the cookies it needs to work properly. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which may record your IP address as part of serving them. If we add analytics or other cookies in future, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
8Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@thecorestandard.co.uk and we will respond within the time the law allows, normally one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
